Overview:
We're seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure the accuracy and quality of manufactured parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify parts meet specifications and maintain high production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and measure finished goods and in-process components using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Compare measurements to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Record and document inspection results accurately in quality reports or electronic systems.
- Identify, tag, and report nonconforming parts and assist with root cause analysis when required.
- Communicate quality issues to production and engineering teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school background preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
