Quality Inspector (Temporary Position) Location: West Melbourne, FL Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support inspection and testing activities for assembled products and components. This role is responsible for verifying product quality, documenting defects, collecting data, and assisting with quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate works efficiently and accurately, demonstrates strong communication and analytical skills, and can adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Perform inspection and testing of incoming materials, sub-assemblies, in-process items, and finished products. Review and interpret mechanical drawings, work instructions, and testing procedures. Utilize standard measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify conformance to specifications. Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials; report findings to management. Prepare daily inspection reports, quality metrics, and documentation to support continuous improvement. Contribute to safety, quality, and performance goals by maintaining accuracy and accountability in all tasks. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or QA management team. Skills & Competencies:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends or issues. Capable of working independently or collaboratively under tight deadlines. Strong time management and confidentiality skills. Qualifications:Prior experience in visual inspection and testing using measurement or test equipment. Ability to interpret bills of materials (BOMs), operating procedures, and work instructions. Experience inspecting raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished products for form, fit, and function. Good vision (corrected if necessary) and the ability to use microscopes or visual aids. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions or priorities. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:Work performed in an office and light manufacturing environment. May involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, kneeling, or reaching. Regular use of computers and inspection tools. Occasional movement between work areas or buildings.
