Job Description
The R’ Pantry Program Assistant position is critical to supporting the pantry’s growing operational demands as student utilization continues to rise—reflecting a 60% increase compared to the previous year. As more students rely on the pantry for essential food support, the need for coordinated food pickups, donor engagement, and food recovery efforts has become increasingly vital. This role ensures the continuity and efficiency of pantry operations so that the program can continue to meet the evolving needs of students experiencing food insecurity. Please be advised that this is a three-year contract position. The full salary range for the R' Pantry Program Assistant is $22.65 - $37.60 an hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $26.39 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.On April 18, 2025, UC recognized UAW as the exclusive representative of this job code under the newly created bargaining unit “Student Services and Advising Professionals” (SSAPs).
