Job Description
Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its Chicago office. This is a dynamic opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex real estate and real estate financing transactions, particularly involving New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), while collaborating closely with a highly respected national team.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent lenders, investors, developers, and property owners in the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, and financing of real estate across all major asset classes, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, and community facilities
Draft and negotiate loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, development and joint venture agreements, and operating agreements
Manage all aspects of closings, including due diligence, title and survey review, zoning and land-use issues, and entity formation
Provide guidance on tax credit transactions (particularly NMTC), as well as operational and asset management matters
Mentor junior team members and oversee project deliverables to ensure timely, high-quality client service
