Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Washington, D.C. office. This full-time hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on high-level commercial real estate transactions alongside senior shareholders. Real Estate Associate Attorney
Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid)
Practice Group: Real Estate
Experience Required: 5–6 years
Salary Range: $295,000 – $350,000 per year


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions with a focus on hospitality and joint venture work.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, leases/subleases, and financing documents.

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of deal closings.

  • Conduct title and survey reviews and other due diligence activities.

  • Support clients across diverse industries with transactions involving hotels, resorts, timeshares, shared ownership, and joint ventures.


Qualifications:

  • 5–6 years of experience handling complex commercial real estate matters.

  • Background in hospitality transactions preferred.

  • Experience with banking and loan transactions, joint ventures, and financing is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple deals and anticipate client needs proactively.

  • Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be admitted to the DC Bar or eligible for prompt admission.

  • High energy, motivated, and eager to develop as a transactional attorney.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $295,000–$350,000
