Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, the Receptionist will provide assistance to all patients, visitors and staff of Family Christian Health Center. Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project-based work. Project a professional image of Family Christian Health Center through in-person and phone interactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Answer all inbound calls promptly and professionally.
2. Transfer calls to appropriate staff, departments and suites.
3. Meet and greet all clients, visitors and staff with a positive attitude and a smile.
4. Perform minimal administrative/clerical duties (to include, but not limited to): mailing, faxing, photocopying and/or filing.
5. Coordinate appointments and interviews for administration as necessary.
6. Reserve the Boardroom for meetings.
7. Coordinate all Staff calendar, schedule, announcements and comment log.
8. Coordinate the FCHC committee meetings and communicate meeting agenda to the staff for All Staff Meetings.
9. Communicate devotion schedules to the Devotion Team for the month via email.
10. Generate closing signs for the organization.
11. Maintain FCHC volunteer list.
12. Sign for and distribute FedEx, UPS and similar packages.
13. Sort inbound mail for daily distribution.
14. Patient check-in and registration for Behavioral and Mental Health schedules.
15. Provide support in assigned project-based work.
16. Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system of monthly FCHC provider on-call schedules and communicate the list to the on-call service.
- Work to ensure that the Reception Area is operating effectively and efficiently, consistent with Family Christian Health Center’s mission, vision and core values.
- Attend staff meetings as announced by Management.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
20. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE- High School or equivalent required. College or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Min of 2-3 years’ experience in a fast paced, high call volume environment – health care a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Knowledge and working experience of medical EHR systems (i.e. Centricity preferred).
- Requires Windows based computer skills and telephone experience preferred and Microsoft Office a plus.

- Demonstrate professionalism.

- Typing speed of 50 wpm (minimum)
- Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication and listening skills
- Possess a positive and open-minded attitude as it relates to professionalism and excellence of customer service
