As the Receptionist, you set the tone for every guest's stay. You'll welcome campers, handle reservations, answer questions, and keep the camp store and office organized and looking its best. You'll be the one guests turn to when they need information, supplies, or just a friendly hello.
We'll provide training on our systems and processes, so all you need is a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. If you take pride in great customer service, enjoy staying busy, and like helping people feel at home, this could be the perfect fit.
Your Daily Responsibilities
Front Desk & Reservations
- Greet guests, check them in/out, and assist with reservations
- Answer phones, emails, and radios in a clear, professional manner
- Provide directions, campground details, and recommendations
Camp Store & Sales
- Process sales for firewood, ice, snacks, and souvenirs
- Restock shelves and keep displays orderly
- Accurately handle cash and card transactions
Clean & Organized Spaces
- Keep the office and store tidy and welcoming
- Clean counters, windows, walls, and doors as needed
- Sweep, mop, and maintain store and office floors
- Monitor and restock supplies
Guest Support
- Provide information about the local area and other KOAs
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth campground operations

Requirements
- Ability to use computers, phones, and point-of-sale systems (training provided)
- Comfortable handling cash and credit card transactions
- Able to sit, stand, and move between office and store areas throughout a shift
- Capable of cleaning duties (windows, floors, counters, walls, etc.)
Bonus Skills
- Prior experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality
- Familiarity with reservation or point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of the local area and attractions
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods

KCN proudly supports Care Camps to help send kids with cancer to summer camp. Every season we raise money through a variety of programs that our staff designs and runs - each with a goal of sending as many kids with cancer to summer camp as possible.
