Position Summary
The Receptionist reports to the Head of People and supports facility reception for the EO campus and office administration for the People Team department. S/he will primarily support office and visitor needs for the EO campus reception area. This position will be an additional People Team department liaison to assist team members and the completion of designated projects and team member events.
The Receptionist will contribute to People Team KPIs of time to fill, safety and learning and development goals.
This position is required to be on-site 100% of the time. Employee must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Responsibilities
Reception / Facility Support
- Receive contractors and visitors at EOP reception; assist with questions as needed
- Assist walk-in candidates with open position information and application process
- Facilitate visitors/contractors with key and badge assignment and return
- Support organization and cleanliness of shared spaceslobby, break rooms, lockers, meeting spaces, lobby
- Facilitate team member use of Learning Lab computer stations and scheduled trainings
- Maintain employee bulletin boards and event posters throughout all buildings
- Sort and distribute mail interdepartmentally
People Team Projects & Other
- Provide interpretation and translation assistance as needed, to support internal team conversations within our bilingual environment
- Support planned employee programs such as snack bar day, employee enrichment activities, and other HR initiatives
- Coordinate flower delivery and system logging for EO team members on requested occasions (celebrations, losses)
- Assist with HRIS and filing projects such as logging employee trainings
- Support a safe working environment by reporting any unsafe conditions or observed, unsafe conduct
- Perform other tasks and projects as directed
Skills/Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to assist others in a variety of diverse situations with tact and positivity
- Proficiency with communication platforms such as Gmail and Slack
Education and Experience:
- Previous reception, or public-facing service experience in an administrative setting, required
- Experience in manufacturing and distribution environments is strongly preferred

General Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
This position will occasionally visit all other work areas, including on a production floor or warehouse environment. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts sometimes in high, or precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high.
