Established in Amarillo, Texas in 1970, Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott LLP ("Perdue Brandon") is one of the oldest law firms providing collection services and related legal representation to government entities. Our clients include school districts, cities, counties, hospital districts, appraisal districts and other governmental entities. Essential Job Functions:

  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls; takes messages.
  • Determines the purpose of each person's visit, contacts the Firm member who can assist and directs the person to the appropriate location.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
  • Manage, clean and organize the front desk.
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
  • Performs additional clerical or administrative duties, as needed or assigned.

Experience Requirement:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.

Competencies:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong grammar, spelling and general math skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Strict attention to detail

  • Punctuality and dependability
  • Has knowledge of office procedures and operation of office machines such as copiers, scanners and fax machines

Work Environment:

This position involves:

  • Sitting at a computer most of the day
  • On the job training
  • Performance assessment within the first 60 days of employment
  • Annual performance reviews
  • Reporting to department supervisor and litigation manager
  • Must be able to work in person 37.50 hours per week, 8:30am - 5:00pm - Monday - Friday

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
