Description
Under the guidance of the Production Manager, the Records Admin Clerk performs duties related to planning the completion of major aircraft installation and maintenance projects. The Records Admin Clerk establishes the processes and controls for each project including budgets and reporting metrics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains planning functions of the Repair Station.
- Develops work packages for contracted projects.
- Maintains work cards and technician sign offs in the Maintenance Information Management System (MISA).
- Provides complete and accurate information as required by the Repair Station to the Planning Supervisor.
- Reports completion of tasks against on schedule for each project.
- Informs Production Manager and Project Manager of likely task performance shortfalls.
- Monitors assigned employee labor charging, attendance and task completion.
- Conducts timely documentation audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in administrative, clerical, or document-control roles preferred.
- Experience in aviation maintenance documentation, QA, or technical records highly desirable.
COMMUNICATION ABILITY
This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations, and the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. This position must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATH ABILITY
This position requires the ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
This position requires the ability to analyze and organize information, problems, situations, practices and procedures, and people in a systematic way that optimizes efficiency and minimizes duplication efforts. Skilled in perceiving and defining cause and effect relationships and skilled in coordinating resources by determining time, place, and sequence of actions to be taken based on the given data.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Required Software: Microsoft Office; including components of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Software: MISA and Microsoft Project.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position requires a versatile candidate. The working environment can be stressful and fast paced; the ideal candidate would be motivated and organized.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or more up to 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
