Job Description

Description The Division of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology at the University of Virginia is seeking a Research Assistant Professor on the Research Support track. This position requires a candidate with expertise in computational analyses, molecular methods, and the intricacies of working with human samples and data. The candidate is required to have a deep understanding of host responses to viral infection and a demonstrated ability to work well in team science environment, including clinicians. The skillset described above is essential for all of these studies and current personnel will be unable to execute current and future obligations. It is expected that with successful funding support for 2 years, the ideal candidate has potential for independent funding in year 3 of the faculty appointment. Qualified candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent degree at the time of appointment.
