The Desk Attendant serves as the first point of contact for students and guests entering the residence hall. Key responsibilities include greeting all visitors, ensuring accurate guest sign-in, addressing guest inquiries, and providing building information, and contacting Residence Life staff or campus security when necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all students and guests entering the residence hall.
  • Ensure accurate sign-in of all guests.
  • Assist students and hall guests by answering questions and providing building information.
  • Contact appropriate Residence Life staff or campus security as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times while on duty.
Requirements:

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, especially with guest sign-in procedures.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude ..
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adapt to additional assigned tasks and changing circumstances.

Qualifications:

  • Current Stephens College student eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program.
  • Prior experience in customer service or student leadership is preferred but not required.
