At Porter Medical Center we are improving the health of our community, one patient at a time. Job Description: To plan, implement and perform Respiratory Care diagnostic and therapeutic regimes for the care of patients for whom services are indicated. EDUCATION: Associate's degree from AMA approved program for Respiratory Care. Current ACLS, BLS Licensure: Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Vermont. Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC within one year of hire date. Sign on bonus: External candidates are eligible for a $5,000 or $10,000 sign-on bonus depending upon experience. Bonus distributions are paid over 3 installments and are subject to applicable taxes. Current employees of The University of Vermont Health Network are not eligible for this bonus. It is a 25 bed hospital where you will know most of the employees. The Respiratory Therapy team has diverse job responsibilities when it comes to patient care, including helping new-borns to seniors. Porter is located in a small college town that is family friendly and close to many activities: the arts, music performances, restaurants, National Forest, downhill and cross country ski centers and a 17 mile recreational loop around town. The location is close to Burlington with access to an International Airport for ease of travel.
