Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing and developing staff, and driving financial performance. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff to ensure high standards of service and performance.
Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Manage budgets, forecasting, payroll, and financial reporting.
Control costs, including labor, food, and beverage, to achieve profitability goals.
Implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maximize efficiency.
Ensure consistent quality of food, drinks, and overall service.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment.
Collaborate with ownership/leadership on marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front and back of house.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze financial reports and manage budgets effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software.
Background in staff training and development.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation:
$80-90K depending on experience
