RN- General Surgery Sign On Bonus for New Grads - $5,000 Sign on Bonus for Experienced Nurses - up to $10,000 The General Surgery Department is a 30-bed unit that cares for patients with a variety of surgical needs. We care for the simple appendectomy patient all the way to the sometimes-complicated colon resection with colostomy placement. The benefit of working on the General Surgery unit is the diversity that is has offer. We care for patients in a variety of specialties including urology, nephrology, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, and plastic surgery. In addition to the variety, we help develop basic nursing techniques and skills as we care for various drains, dressings, and catheters. Healthcare workers that are compassionate, flexible, and a team player will feel right at home on this unit as they learn and develop more confidence in their clinical knowledge base.
