Description :Overview of Unit The Cox Branson Acute Rehab Unit is a small unit with 13 beds that specializes in adult rehabilitation for patients after surgeries, debilitating illnesses, strokes, etc. The nursing staff works closely with speech, physical, and occupational therapies using a team approach to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to improve patient outcomes. Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates • Up to $25,000 Sign-On Bonus • Up to 120 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off • Up to $3,000 Relocation bonus • $1.00 Certification pay • $1.00 BSN pay • Career Ladder Bonus eligible up to $5,000 Job Summary The Rehabilitation nurse cares for patients experiencing temporary, progressive, or permanent disabilities or illnesses that require rehabilitation. Rehab nurses assess, diagnose, and help to design a plan of care that best suits the patient’s needs and expedite recovery. Working with physicians, pharmacists, and occupational and physical therapists, rehabilitation nurses support patients throughout the recovery process by educating them and helping set recovery goals, encouraging self-care, and providing effective coping skills.
