RN Primary Care 365 - Virtual Care Center (F/T Days) at Mercy

Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.” Overview: In partnership with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and APPs, the Primary Care 365 RN is responsible for supporting the acute care needs of Mercy primary care patients. Performs as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Mercy Primary Care 365 department in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Mercy rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and performs all duties assigned by the Director of Mercy Primary Care 365 concerning patients and their care. These duties differ according to the assigned areas and range from education to care coordination. This role is a hybrid position and is offered as full-time, part-time, or PRN. Reports to Lead APP – Mercy Primary Care 365. Qualifications: Education: Graduation from registered nursing program and bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or 4 years of commensurate experience in lieu of the degree, in addition to the required experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years diversified direct clinical experience in nursing required. Previous telemedicine, Emergency medicine, Internal medicine, Primary care medicine or a Critical Care experience ideal. Licensure: Must have a License in state of practice or be eligible for License in state of practice and eligible for other state licensure. Certification: BLS Certification within 6 months of hire. Additional Skills: Work requires analytical skills and knowledge of complex medical patients, anatomy, EKG reading, etc.- Must possess excellent communication skills with patient and family both over the phone and on video. - Must possess interpersonal skills to interact effectively with coworkers and other medical staff in a virtual care setting.- Ability to monitor multiple patients and work within a treatment team that focus on care for the patients.- Broad-based knowledge and clinical expertise in assessing, analyzing, intervening, and evaluating patient care. Ability to work in stressful environment ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, function within an ever-changing environment, coordinate services for multiple patients with a variety of ages and diagnoses.- Be a team leader and direct the health care needed to meet the patient needs.- Must possess the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, work well under stress and the ability to think and react quickly in emergencies.
