Job Description

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Associate degree in nursing

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Required Experience:

  • Three (3) years clinical nursing experience in hospital setting

Preferred Experience:

  • Two (2) years of clinical information systems experience.
  • Nursing project management experience.
  • Ability to self-direct.
  • Good organizational skills.  
  • Good analytical skills.  
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Required Certification/License/Registry:  

  • Licensed as a RN in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act)

Preferred Certification/License/Registry: 

  • Informatics Nursing Certification (Registered Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC)) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Responsibilities

Your Role:

  • Promotes information integration among clinical application systems.
  • Coordinates the design, test implementation, training, support, and ongoing maintenance of clinical applications and computerized information systems supporting the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Troubleshoots, maintains, and analyzed data.
  • Active Clinical Informatics team member.
  • Educates, communicates with, and provide support to providers and clinical staff members by utilizing an understanding of the systems’ functions and limitations.
  • Serves as the primary contact point for providers and clinicians.
  • Establishes ongoing relationships with providers, allied health professionals, and clinical staff members.
