What You’ll Do

• As a Safety Officer, you’ll be more than just a presence—you’ll be a trusted partner in safety. Your responsibilities will include:

• Patrolling and monitoring facilities to maintain a secure environment

• Enforcing safety rules, policies, and procedures with fairness and professionalism

• Responding quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances

• Writing clear, accurate daily reports and incident documentation

• Managing access points, checking IDs, and safeguarding restricted areas

• Identifying potential hazards and reporting maintenance or safety concerns

• Supporting emergency drills and promoting safety awareness

• Assisting during events, transitions, and high-traffic times

• Collaborating with staff, students, and local emergency responders

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 2 years of experience in security, public safety, law enforcement, or a related field

• Valid security license (as required by state/local regulations)

• Calm, professional demeanor under pressure

• Strong communication, observation, and conflict-resolution skills

• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience in a school, campus, or residential setting

• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and safety protocols

• Valid driver’s license

• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) are a plus
