The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers. SDRs are the first point of contact in the sales process, working closely with Account Executives (AEs) and the sales leadership team to build a healthy pipeline of qualified leads.
Key Responsibilities
  • Research, identify, and reach out to potential prospects through phone calls, emails, social media, and networking.
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and ensure they meet target customer criteria.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Schedule appointments and product demonstrations for Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of prospect interactions in the CRM system.
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily/weekly activity goals (calls, emails, meetings set).
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation campaigns and messaging.
  • Stay up to date on company products, services, and industry trends to effectively communicate value to prospects.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience (preferred but not always required).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and handling rejection with resilience.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and eager to learn.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Keap) and sales engagement tools is a plus.

This role offers a base salary of $40,000 with an on-target earning potential of around $80,000 annually - and no cap on commission, meaning top performers can exceed that.
