Sales Estimator – Precast Concrete Turnkey Installations Location: Pomona, CA | Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year | Employment Type: Full-Time About American Precast Concrete (APC) At American Precast Concrete, we design, manufacture, and install custom precast concrete systems for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across California. Our turnkey approach—spanning design, estimating, production, and installation—ensures efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction from start to finish. We are seeking a Sales Estimator who combines strong technical estimating skills with customer relationship management. This individual will review construction documents, prepare accurate bids, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure APC’s products are correctly specified and competitively priced. What You’ll Do Estimating & Proposal Development Review bid invitations, construction drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate material and labor estimates for precast projects. Perform quantity takeoffs, analyze project scope, and identify cost-saving opportunities or value-engineering options. Coordinate with drafting, production, and installation teams to verify constructability and schedule feasibility. Prepare detailed proposals that reflect technical accuracy, company standards, and client expectations. Track estimate progress, pricing updates, and historical data to improve future bids. Sales & Client Engagement Follow up on submitted bids and actively communicate with contractors and developers to convert estimates into awarded projects. Identify new project opportunities through bid boards, construction networks, and direct outreach. Build relationships with architects, engineers, and clients to get APC products specified early in the design process. Represent APC in client meetings, pre-bid conferences, and design coordination discussions. Maintain accurate records of client communications, bid outcomes, and market feedback. Collaboration & Reporting Partner with project management and operations for a smooth handoff of awarded projects. Track pipeline activity using HubSpot or other CRM tools and maintain detailed reporting of bid status, hit ratios, and sales metrics. Provide feedback to leadership regarding market trends, competitor pricing, and customer needs. What We’re Looking For Experience: 3–5+ years in construction estimating or sales within the precast, concrete, or structural trades. Technical Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, performing takeoffs, and interpreting project specifications. Software: Experience with Bluebeam Revu, estimating platforms, CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication for client engagement and proposal development. Organization: Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines. Team Player: Collaborative mindset with operations, production, and drafting teams.
