Job Description

Job Summary:


This position is responsible for generating revenue by securing group bookings at our theater, restaurants, and inns, including ticket sales, group meetings, fundraisers, catering, banquets, events, and Corporate gift sales. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses as well as regional churches, travel groups and tour operators to maximize profitability. The manager develops and executes sales strategies, negotiates contracts, and maintains sales database. The manager would be responsible for properties in Sugarcreek, Walnut Creek, and Berlin, Ohio.


Pay rate based on experience. This position is salaried and commission based


Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Solicit and secure group business to achieve monthly and annual sales goals
  2. Build and maintain relationships with clients, event organizers, and travel groups to ensure repeat business
  3. Develop and implement strategies to increase group ticket sales for performances, inn, and restaurant packages
  4. Identify and target schools, senior centers, churches, community groups and local businesses
  5. Conduct outbound calls and site visits to promote offerings
  6. Retain a database of group clients and track sales performance
  7. Maintain a strong presence in the community while fostering relationships with business owners
  8. Attend trade shows and local community events to network and identify business opportunities
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing


Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Ability to plan and execute sales campaigns targeting group clients
  2. Identifying revenue opportunities and maximizing profitability
  3. Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce for managing accounts and tracking performance


Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field
  2. 2-4 years of sales experience, ideally in the hospitality or theater industries
  3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  4. Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  5. Strong organizational and time-management skills
