As part of the Executive Leadership team, reporting to the President, the Sales Manager - Stamping and Assembly, will be responsible for driving sales revenue growth for M.A. Metal’s Stamping, Assembly, and Welding Line of Business, with a broader impact on NuMA Group’s overall objectives. This role focuses on developing new clients and opportunities through proactive engagement and fostering long-term relationships to ensure sustained growth across the Automotive, Industrial, and Aerospace verticals, while supporting the Work Truck Body Line of Business.
What You'll Do:- Direct, manage, and coordinate sales and marketing activities for the Stamping and Assembly Line of Business, with support for the Work Truck Body vertical as needed.
- Develop and implement outside and inside sales strategies and methodologies tailored to the metal cutting, bending, stamping, forming, welding and assembly sectors.
- Identify and establish contact with potential clients through personal interactions outside the office, targeting industries such as Automotive, Industrial, and Aerospace. Provide technical expertise/solutions that align with client’s needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Create and execute strategies and plans to identify sales opportunities, direct marketing efforts, and new client development.
- Directly manage critical developing customer accounts within the assigned region, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies, methods, costs, and outcomes, using data-driven insights to optimize performance.
- Lead the development and submission of new project proposals, collaborating with operations to ensure feasibility and alignment with customer needs, particularly in automated welding and fabrication processes.
- Develop and manage the Sales budget for the Stamping and Assembly Line of Business, overseeing its development and execution.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, operating procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for Outside Sales.
- Oversee company marketing activities to promote M.A. Metal in the stamping and assembly industry, including attending annual, local, and regional conferences, trade shows, symposiums, industry associations, meetings, and events relevant to Automotive, Industrial, and Aerospace.
- Supervise the planning and development of marketing and communication materials specific to the Stamping and Assembly Line of Business.
- Maintain open communication with operations, particularly the Director of Operations, to support on-time delivery and quality of stamped and assembled products, including welding and fabrication.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer, including assisting the Sales Manager for Work Truck Body.
- Generate and submit Outside Sales and KPI reports to Executive Management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as required.
- Position requires one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (preferred), or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field combined with relevant technical certifications or experience in metal fabrication, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in manufacturing, preferably in stamping, assembly, welding, and fabrication, with a proven track record of success.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive sales experience in manufacturing, preferably in stamping, assembly, welding, and fabrication, with a proven track record of success. In-depth knowledge of the stamping and assembly industry, including strong familiarity with welding and fabrication processes and applications in Automotive, Industrial, or Aerospace.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive outcomes during the sales process.
- Established reputation in the industry, with existing contacts among OEMs, vendors, and customers in the stamping, assembly, welding, and fabrication sectors.
