Job Description
Role Name: Sales Representative I
Location: Irmo, SC 29063
Work Environment: Onsite
Schedule: Mon to Fri, 8:30AM-5:30PM (Work every other saturday)
Contract length: 2 months assignment with possible conversion
Job Summary:
Responsible for the successful marketing (sales, renewals, and/or service) of group and/or individual accounts for products as defined by production quotas within assigned territory. Customarily and regularly engaged in outside sales.
Duties/About the role:
1) Assist consumers in selecting and enrolling in appropriate health insurance plans.
2) Handle inbound leads to marketing campaigns, walk-ins, and online inquiries.
3) Manage appointment calendars efficiently, especially during high-volume periods.
4) Collect and verify required documentation (e.g., proof of income, residency).
5) Stay updated on policy changes and communicate them to clients as needed
Team Info:The retail store is a team of 4 individuals (3 insurance agents and 1 store manager) . Everyone is licensed to sale health insurance products During peak season everything and everyone is fast paced

Job Requirements:
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience: 1 year sales and marketing.
Required License and Certificate: Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed.
Preferred Work Experience: 3 years customer service, provider network.
Nice to have/Preferred skills:
1) Microsoft skills - Excel , word, PowerPoint, and etc.
2) Scheduling capabilities / reporting
3) Professional written & Communication skills
4) Prefer they have Life & Health license

- 50% Develops and executes marketing plans for new sales and/or retention of existing accounts within assigned territory. Prepares and presents proposals and communications to groups, agents, and/or individuals.
- 30% Develops and maintains professional relationships with groups, agents, and/or individuals. Assesses agency, agent, group, and/or individual sales opportunities and works with groups, agent, and/or individuals to resolve problem issues.
- 10% Conducts on-going market research and provides key information that may lead to sales. Prepares and submits required marketing reports to management detailing how best to position company products.
- 10% Maintains product/industry knowledge and marketing skills by attending trading seminars, continuing education classes, conferences, etc.
