Job Summary:
This is a part time (seasonal), non-exempt position expected to run from November through December 2025. Work hours and schedules will vary based on event volume, client demand, and business needs, and employment may conclude at the end of the seasonal period.
As Seasonal Event Cook, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences by preparing and setting up high-quality dishes for both on-site and off-site events. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about food, thriving in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining organization and consistency. Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Professional, enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
- Follow all food safety standards and state/local health regulations.
- Prepare cold and hot foods to recipe specifications and portion standards.
- Read and interpret event BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) to ensure accurate preparation.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients.
- Monitor food quality during prep and service.
- Safely and effectively operate ovens, stoves, fryers, grills, and kitchen equipment.
- Use knives and utensils correctly and safely.
- Maintain workstation cleanliness, organization, and sanitation before, during, and after service.
- Support kitchen setup and breakdown for both on-site and off-site events.
- 1–2 years of kitchen experience or enrollment in a culinary education program (6+ months).
- Must possess a valid California Food Handler’s Card.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and use hands frequently; occasional bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. may be required.

Travel:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to travel between and/or Los Angeles and Orange County.
- Gas reimbursements are available for events only per company policy.
Availability Requirements:
- Weekend Availability — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are required event days
- Flexible Schedule — Availability for additional weekday or holiday events as needed.
- Shift Flexibility — Ability to work morning (AM) or evening (PM) shifts based at kitchen or events
Please note that weekly hours are not guaranteed for Seasonal Employees as we scheduled to business needs during the holiday season.
Pay Range:
$18 - $23 per hour depending on experience and qualification
Part-Time (Seasonal), Hourly / Non-Exempt
