Are you ready to guide bold ideas into campaigns that make a real difference in our communities? At C2 Strategic Communications, the region’s largest PR firm, we’re looking for a Senior Strategist to lead high-impact projects and become the trusted advisor for our most influential clients. If you currently serve in an Account Manager or Account Director role, you’re on the right track.
Why This Role Matters:
You’ll be the key liaison between our top clients and our strategic and creative team, driving strategies that influence economic development, education, nonprofits and innovation across Kentucky and Indiana. Your work will not just tell stories; it will move communities forward.
What You’ll Do:
- Own client relationships and lead multiple large-scale communications projects.
- Develop and implement strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Guide and mentor staff, ensuring quality and collaboration.
- Oversee deliverables—from media campaigns to digital content and events.
- Support business growth through pitches, proposals and strategic planning.
What Success Looks Like:
- Within 90 days: You’ve earned trusted advisor status with key clients.
- 6 months: You have launched campaigns that earn headlines and engagement.
- 12 months: You’re recognized as a thought leader shaping statewide conversations.
What You Bring:
- Proven expertise: 10+ years leading PR and communications strategies (agency experience preferred). Exceptional writing, relationship-building and project management skills.
- Strategic mindset: Ability to simplify complex issues and craft compelling narratives.
- Leadership skills: Strong communicator, collaborator and mentor.
- Technical fluency: Microsoft 365 and social media platforms; bonus for Salesforce, Meltwater, AI platforms and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Education: Bachelor’s in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
You’re not just a communicator—you’re a strategist who thrives at the intersection of big ideas and real-world impact. The right candidate for this role is:
- Strategic and Visionary – You see patterns others miss and craft innovative solutions that move communities forward.
- Relationship-Driven – You build trust quickly and influence decision-makers with confidence and empathy.
- Results-Oriented – You measure success by outcomes, not activity; you thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Collaborative Leader – You inspire teams, mentor rising talent and foster a culture of excellence.
- Adaptable and Resilient – You pivot with ease, solve problems proactively and stay calm under pressure.
Share Your Profiles:
Professional assessments are a shorthand for how you operate in the workplace. If you’ve taken one or more of these assessments, add them to your application. These profiles fit well in our organization:
- Predictive Index: Strategist, Captain or Persuader profiles with high autonomy, influence and drive.
