A global financial services company that offers banking, investment management, and asset servicing for corporations, institutions, and wealthy individuals is growing their team and hiring a Senior Java Engineer. They are located in the downtown Chicago West Loop area, and are in office on a hybrid basis, 3 days per week. They are looking for an engineer having experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes and Azure or AWS. This is a long-term contract role, 1 year with opportunity for extension.
This is a great opportunity to help modernize an enterprise company infrastructure. They are looking for an engineer who wants to build highly scalable, secure systems using Kubernetes, Terraform and Azure.
Contract Duration: 12 Months (plus opportunity for extension)
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of backend development experience using Java
- Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Hands on experience with Kubernetes
- Azure cloud preferred (open to AWS as well)
- Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools
- Previous experience in fintech, financial services
