What You Will Do
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of our next-generation security imaging and detection systems. This role requires a high degree of technical ownership, hands-on lab work, and cross-functional collaboration. Relocation compensation is not available for this position.
- Lead the design, debugging, and integration of highly complex, compact, and robust electronic products.
- Work with technologies including x-ray backscatter, ION Mobility Spectroscopy, X-Ray Fluorescence, and other cutting-edge detection methods.
- Define, design, and ship new features in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (Software, Mechanical, Test).
- Support Manufacturing/Operations with critical component selection, substitution, and supply chain management.
- Provide occasional support for field customer issues and system installations, including opportunities to travel
- Electrical Engineering Degree (BS or MS).
- 5+ years of relevant Senior Electrical Engineering experience.
- Expertise in designing compact, high-density electronic boards for industrial environments.
- A strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Proven ability in highly efficient power electronics design and low noise analog applications.
- Experience with AC mains power design/analysis and knowledge of the National Electrical Code standard is desired.
- Proficiency in schematic capture (OrCad Capture or similar) and assisting with circuit board layout.
- Experience leading technical projects and managing resources.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and product development expertise working with software, mechanical, test, and manufacturing teams.
- Understanding of circuit board design and layout techniques for signal integrity and electro-magnetic compliance (EMC).
- Experience integrating and validating peripherals such as USB, Ethernet, 802.11, and Bluetooth.
- Knowledge of handheld and wireless device standards.
- Enjoys hands-on lab work testing and validating new hardware designs.
Bonus Skills: FCC/CE Compliance experience preferred, FPGA design (Verilog preferred) and verification, High voltage design experience preferred (<10kV).
