Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction at The Staff Pad

The Staff Pad has partnered with Corporate Contractors, a well-established construction company in Beloit, Wisconsin, to identify an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting the VP of Business Development with take-offs, bid evaluations, subcontractor negotiations, and project cost estimations for commercial construction projects.

• Attend initial client meetings to assess project scope
  

• Review blueprints, plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates
  

• Perform material take-offs and develop scopes of work
  

• Identify and secure qualified subcontractors and suppliers
  

• Create and send bid invitations; gather and evaluate competitive quotes
  

• Assemble final take-off documents and submit for approval
  

• Manage estimating software and ensure timely updates
  

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of proposals
  

• Maintain subcontractor and vendor databases
  

• Promote a positive and professional image to clients, vendors, and colleagues
  

• Adhere to all company safety policies and encourage a culture of safety
  

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects
  

• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and construction specifications (6+ years preferred)
  

• 3+ years of hands-on construction experience is ideal
  

• Familiarity with Federal, State, and NFPA building codes
  

• High School Diploma or GED required; Trade education preferred
  

• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); ProContractor knowledge is a plus
  

• Excellent communication skills—verbal and written
  

• Strong organizational and analytical skills
  

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  

• Ability to travel up to 50% between client and project sites
  

• Comfortable working both in office and occasional field environments
  

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and perform light physical tasks as needed
