Location: West Hartford, CT (Hybrid/On-site)
Our client, a growing national organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. This newly created role, due to growth, offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance department and support the company’s continued expansion. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the monthly and annual financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll be involved in preparing internal and external financial reports, supporting audits, managing consolidations, and driving process improvements within the accounting function.
- Participate in the monthly consolidation of subsidiaries.
- Prepare monthly internal financial reports and analyses.
- Assist with compiling financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support audits with related reporting.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for key accounting workflows.
- Identify and implement process improvements aimed at automation and efficiency.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- 2–10 years of relevant accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Public accounting experience would be nice
- Experience with financial consolidations a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Adobe, and Outlook.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing organization.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
