We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Identity Security Engineer contractor to serve as the subject matter expert for our enterprise Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms. This role is critical for securing access across our organization by owning the deployment, management, administration, and scaling of these core security ideal candidate has deep, hands-on experience with the Saviynt platform, specifically its IGA and Cloud PAM modules, and is adept at working within a mature enterprise IAM team environment.

**Combination of onsite and remote. Candidate must be working onsite 3 days/week at the office in San Antonio, TX or Tysons, VA. 

Key Responsibilities 
Platform Ownership & Engineering

  • Saviynt IGA: Lead the engineering, integration, and administration of the Saviynt IGA platform, including managing joiner/mover/leaver processes, access request workflows, and application onboarding.
  • Saviynt Cloud PAM: Design, deploy, and support the Saviynt Cloud PAM module for secure management of privileged accounts, session recording, and access auditing.
  • Life Cycle Management: Own the full life cycle for IGA and PAM tools, including platform upgrades, patching, maintenance, and capacity planning to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Policy & Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies related to access certification, segregation of duties (SoD), and role management across the enterprise.

    • Operational Support & Collaboration

  • Enterprise Team Work: Function as a key member of the Enterprise IAM team, adhering to established security standards, change control, and documentation practices.
  • Communication: Serve as the technical lead and liaison, demonstrating a critical ability to communicate complex technical requirements and risks effectively across development, infrastructure, audit, and business teams.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 3 operational support, performing root cause analysis and resolution for complex identity and access issues related to provisioning and privileged access.
  • Off-Hours Support: Be available to support occasional off-hour maintenance windows and participate in an on-call rotation as necessary to minimize business impact during critical deployments or maintenance.


    • Required Skills and Experience 

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) engineering and architecture.
  • 3+ years of extensive, hands-on enterprise experience in deploying, managing, and administering IGA and PAM platforms.
  • Mandatory: Proven background working within Enterprise IAM teams and environments.
  • Platform Expertise: Strong, demonstrable experience with the Saviynt platform, including the IGA and Cloud PAM modules.
  • Expertise in integrating IGA/PAM systems with various target systems (., Active Directory, cloud services, databases, custom applications) using standard connectors and APIs.
  • Deep knowledge of security concepts and protocols related to identity, including LDAP, SAML, OAuth 2.0, SCIM, and PKI.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and effectively communicate technical decisions and project status to diverse audiences.


    • Highly Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience with Saviynt-specific certifications (., Saviynt Certified Implementation Engineer).
  • Strong experience with alternative IGA platforms such as SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow.
  • Strong experience with alternative PAM platforms such as CyberArk (PAS/Conjur) or BeyondTrust (Password Safe).
  • Familiarity with Cloud Identity platforms and security practices (Azure AD / Entra ID, AWS IAM).
  • Scripting and automation skills (., Python, PowerShell) relevant to IAM/security operations.
  • Nice to have background with Hypr / Double Octopus passwordless solutions.
