An established insurance provider in Bedford Park, IL is hiring a Senior Guidewire/Java Developer to advance their enterprise system modernization. This role blends Guidewire expertise with Java backend development, making it a key position for enhancing and customizing core policy, billing, and claims applications.
The company is seeking a senior-level engineer who can contribute to design, configuration, and development of insurance solutions while working closely with business and technical teams. - 5+ years of Java development experience
- 3+ years working with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter
- Strong understanding of software development best practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Auto insurance industry knowledge strongly preferred
- Experience integrating Guidewire with external systems
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
- Tech Breakdown: 70% Guidewire development, 30% Java backend integration
- Daily Responsibilities: Building and customizing Guidewire applications, collaborating with architecture teams, and driving system modernization initiatives
