Job Description

System One has partnered with a client who is growing their technical infrastructure team in the Tulsa, OK area. This client is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to work on-site to help lead the planning and implementation of network projects. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that systems are secure, efficient, and in compliance with industry standards. You will be instrumental in resolving technical issues, enhancing system performance, and collaborating across departments to achieve our organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Network Project Leadership: Oversee full lifecycle of network projects from requirements definition through to implementation, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategic objectives. Technical Support: Provide expert operational support for network-related incidents, proactively monitor system health, and troubleshoot complex network issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance. Design and Implementation: Plan, design, configure, and implement network hardware and software solutions with minimal disruption to overall operations. Compliance and Security: Ensure all network configurations and operations comply with security policies and industry standards. Actively participate in enhancing the organization’s security posture through network design and strategy. Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architectures and configurations, establishing standards that foster consistency and reliability across the organization. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, staff, and external partners, to coordinate network initiatives and support ongoing operations. Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership on infrastructure strategies while working directly with executive-level stakeholders. Qualifications: Required Skills & Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network infrastructure support. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and physical network design. Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies and networking protocols. In-depth understanding of security integration techniques and relevant tools (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS). Proficient with monitoring and performance management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark). Familiarity with automation tools such as Python and Ansible. Excellent communication and leadership skills with an ability to prioritize effectively. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field is required. Certifications: Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability insurance, as off-campus support may be needed. Preferred: Aruba and Juniper certifications or Fortinet-related certifications.
