Position Summary
Under minimal supervision from the Faculty Director of the Morrison Center for Marketing Studies and Data Analytics, provide financial, operational and administrative assistance to the Center. Manage the Morrison Center accounts, process expenses, submit travel reimbursement requests and purchase equipment. Coordinate hospitality, room reservations, catering, parking arrangements for guest and special events associated with the Morrison Center. Serve as the face of the Center, and the first line of communication to Anderson stakeholders, students, guests and visitors. Routinely maintain and update the Morrison Center website based on faculty requirements and instructions using the Anderson CMS. Provide superior customer service to faculty, students, the university community, and the general public. Perform clerical functions including copying, responding to correspondence, scanning, writing, proofreading and editing materials as directed. The Faculty Director will assign short and long-term tasks, in addition to activities surrounding the strategic mission of the Center. Independently prioritize tasks, plan, monitor progress and check quality. Apply working knowledge of University policy and procedures.
Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to establish effective and collaborative relationships, and enlist support of all levels of faculty, volunteers, students, staff, campus and community constituencies. (Required) Demonstrated skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal directions. (Required) Demonstrated analytical skill in recognizing potential problems, situations or procedures sufficient to define the problem(s), identify relevant factors, synthesize information, recognize alternatives, and present viable solutions. (Required) Knowledge of and ability to work with community organizations, elected officials, and policy makers. (Required) Ability to analyze and interpret professional contracts, and to negotiate terms favorable to the University and the Center. (Required) General knowledge of University campus, libraries, administrative resources, policies and procedures and considerable work experience in an organization where people with MBAs are prevalent and the skill sets developed in an MBA Program are commonplace. (Preferred) General knowledge of the Anderson School complex, organizational structure, administrative resources, educational programs, policies and procedures. (Preferred) Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to department and campus needs. Develop new skills in response to a changing work environment. (Required) Interpersonal skills to work effectively with Center management, staff, deans, major gift prospects and donors, volunteers, executives, faculty, university administration, students, and alumni. (Required) Excellent strategic planning, and managerial skills to create, maintain and monitor complex operational and organizational budgets. (Required) Skill in negotiating and exchanging ideas, information and opinions with others to formulate solutions or to arrive jointly at decisions. (Required) Ability to prioritize tasks and achieve a high level of productivity and quality under rigid deadlines in an environment with frequent workload changes, competing demands and interruptions. (Required) Ability to formulate strategic plans and initiatives and take immediate actions in response to emergent opportunities. (Required) Working knowledge of marketing and communication strategies, including web, print, electronic, media and social media formats. (Required) Ability to exercise independent and sound judgment, handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. (Required) Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills. (Required) Must be available to work some evening and weekend hours, as required, and to occasionally travel on behalf of the Center. (Required) Ability to maintain a convincing, outgoing and confident external presence. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
Bachelor's Degree BA Degree in relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required) Other Type of Degree MBA Degree preferred. (Preferred)

Schedule
Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
