Job Title: Senior Project Manager | Req ID: 14158 | HR Contact: Roscoe Chambers| Location: Ravena Cement Plant NYABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and executing capital projects at AMRIZE Ravena, NY cement plant - a large plant cement manufacturing site with a crushing plant, vertical roller mill, preheater/precalciner burning system, 3 finish mills and truck/barge loading systems.Applies broad, diversified knowledge of engineering and construction principles and practices to project engineering in the preparation of complex engineering analyses. Makes decisions independently concerning problems within the project. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHEnsures Health, Safety and Environmental values, policies and standards are maintained and integrated into all engineering project activities.Manages plant cap-ex budgetPlans, develops, coordinate and reviews complex engineering work within the project. Coordinates and interfaces with the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers.Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with plant management.Manages technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, and regulators) to facilitate appropriate technical decisions, resolve project issues and propose solutions to help meet deadlines and monitor related job costs.Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project's scope, schedule and budget and manages implementation and performance accordingly.Reviews significant bid summaries, major drawings and staffing estimates and schedules. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.Project management of all contracts either awarded or assigned to the incumbent including attending site meetings, identifying and pricing work extra to the contract, coordinating and scheduling the project with the customer, invoicing, collections, and resolving any disputes involving the customer and any other third parties.Verify contract documents and blueprints for accuracy and project materials.Manage Subcontractors, outline expectations, scheduling information and track productions.Verify job site quantities.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: Bachelor's degree/Undergraduate DegreeRequired Work Experience: 5 to 10 years of project management experience in heavy industrial environmental, preferably cement. Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods. Extensive knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards.Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Microsoft Project, Project Management certificate e.g. PMI or similar is desiredTravel Requirements: Able to travel as needed for feasibility studies and supporting project managersAdditional Requirements:Knowledge in cement plant design, engineering, commissioning and operation,Knowledge of engineering disciplines, Basic knowledge in construction.Strong knowledge in current engineering design standards and tools specific to the cement industryStrong knowledge of process and mass flow calculations as well as basic design principles used in the cement industryFamiliar with and knowledgeable of the various process equipment, material handling equipment, and logistic equipment used in the industryBasic knowledge in civil and electrical engineering and basic principles and practicesCapacity to forecast, analyze, and mitigate technical risksCommunication and negotiating ability within Amrize and with external third parties.Ability to work under pressure and in a matrix organization with teams located in several locationsTeam player and committed to ethics and group valuesSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
