Join Our Growing Team as a Senior Staff Accountant!

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant with 4-6 years of experience to join our team and contribute to our financial growth. If you are a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency, we want to hear from you!

Must live local / commutable to Stamford, CT

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office

Your Impact:

• Tax Management: Manage and track sales and use tax, property taxes, and real estate taxes.
• Income Tax Collaboration: Work in conjunction to manage and file income taxes.
• Deposit Tracking: Manage the tracking and proper coding of non-AR related deposits.
• Fixed Asset Management: Review and maintain fixed asset ledger and subledger and calculate depreciation.
• Lease Management: Review and maintain operating lease schedules under ASC 842.
• Reconciliation & Resolution: Track and follow-up on discrepancies and reconciling items until resolved.
• Journal Entries & Account Reconciliations: Record journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Process Improvement: Drive accounting process improvements.

Schedule:

• Full-time
• 3-day hybrid schedule out of the Stamford, CT office.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 4-6 years of public/corporate accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Master's degree in Accounting required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivots, index match, macros, etc.).
• Knowledge of GAAP standards.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with limited direction in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to work with strict deadlines with urgency.

Bonus Points:

• CPA certification.
• Knowledge of Sage Intact accounting system.
• Previous experience working with acquisitions.
