Senior Technical Sales Representative – Commercial Construction Products (CRM, Takeoffs, Bidding, Inbound/Outbound Sales) Base Wages: $75,000 – $90,000 (DOE) Commission: Uncapped Location: Pomona, CA – In Person Drive Growth in the Commercial Construction Market APC is seeking a senior-level commercial construction sales professional with strong experience in both inbound and outbound sales, plan reading, takeoffs, and proposal development. You will work directly with commercial general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and project teams to win new business and expand APC’s presence in the commercial construction sector. About the Role This is a senior individual-contributor role focused on: Converting inbound commercial leads Driving outbound prospecting to GCs and developers Performing plan reviews and quantity takeoffs Preparing proposals and supporting commercial bids Maintaining a disciplined CRM pipeline Closing deals in the commercial construction market You will represent APC’s commercial product lines and play a key role in expanding our market share. Key Responsibilities (Commercial Construction Focus) Inbound Sales (Commercial Projects) Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from commercial GCs, estimators, and developers Qualify commercial leads for scope, budget, timeline, and feasibility Prepare pricing, takeoffs, and proposals for commercial bids Follow up aggressively to convert opportunities into awarded projects Outbound Sales & Pipeline Development Conduct daily outbound calls to commercial GCs, subcontractors, developers, and estimators Identify upcoming commercial projects suitable for APC solutions Build relationships within the commercial construction community Track bid calendars, project lists, and GC networks Commercial Plan Reading, Takeoffs & Bidding Review commercial architectural/site/civil plans Perform accurate basic takeoffs (training provided) Prepare detailed proposals for commercial bids and negotiated work Work closely with estimating and operations for pricing and project scope CRM Discipline & Sales Leadership Maintain a senior-level CRM pipeline with accurate updates Track bid deadlines, proposal status, and follow-up schedules Report weekly on commercial pipeline progression and revenue outlook Closing & Relationship Management Close commercial construction deals through strong communication and scope alignment Support customers throughout the bid and build process Maintain long-term relationships with GCs, estimators, and commercial developers Qualifications Required (Senior Commercial Sales) 5+ years of sales experience in commercial construction, commercial building materials, or sales to GCs/estimators Proven track record selling into commercial projects Ability to read commercial plans and perform takeoffs Strong proposal writing and bidding experience CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred) Excellent communication & follow-through Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 25 lbs Preferred Experience selling to commercial GCs, design-build firms, or developers Understanding of commercial scopes, divisions, and bid processes Background in precast, modular, structural, or exterior commercial systems Spanish a plus Compensation & Benefits Base Wages: $75,000 – $90,000 (DOE) Commission: uncapped Medical Insurance – Employer-sponsored health coverage Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Sick Leave – In accordance with California law Paid Vacation – Accrued based on tenure and company policy Paid Holidays – Company-observed holidays Travel Reimbursement Who Will Succeed Here A seasoned commercial construction salesperson Strong at interpreting commercial plans and scopes Disciplined with sales follow-up and CRM Effective with both inbound and outbound commercial leads Comfortable in GC negotiation, value engineering, and bid strategy Motivated by closing high-value commercial projects Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: Yes
