Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, development, and execution of complex litigation cases from intake through verdict.
• Serve as lead counsel on high-exposure personal injury and elder abuse trials.
• Supervise and mentor associate attorneys and litigation team members.
• Oversee discovery, depositions, expert preparation, and trial readiness.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Develop litigation strategies in alignment with overall firm goals.
• Provide exceptional communication and service to clients throughout case progression.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and firm-wide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate reporting of case progress, outcomes, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Active member of the State Bar of California, in good standing.
• Minimum 5+ years of litigation and trial experience, preferably in personal injury or elder abuse law.
• Demonstrated success in jury trials and strong courtroom advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage a large caseload efficiently (50+ active cases).
• Excellent legal writing, research, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach.
• Advanced knowledge of California civil procedure and evidence rules.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management systems (Litify experience a plus).
• Professional, organized, and dependable with strong time management skills.
• Performance Expectations
• Lead and successfully try a minimum of five cases per year.
• Ensure consistent progress and communication across all active litigation files.
• Achieve strong client satisfaction through responsiveness and effective results.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all client and courtroom interactions.
• Mentor associates and foster a positive, learning-oriented team culture.

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives.
