Job Description
Banshee is a new restaurant opening soon in Graduate Hospital from the team behind Cheu Noodle Bar and Bing Bing Dim Sum. We are a neighborhood bistro in Philadelphia, serving casual cuisine inspired by the restaurants and wine bars of Paris, London and Spain.
Our menu focuses on lighter fare with an emphasis on vegetables, seafood and house made bread. Dishes will range from snacks and small bites up to shareable entrees.
We are seeking skilled, professional, and knowledgeable Servers to join our team and who are interested in contributing to opening a new restaurant and helping to shape a developing staff. Availability for 3 to 5 shifts a week and on weekend nights is required.
We are looking to cultivate a fun and casual dining atmosphere, while adhering to professional standards and conducting service in a controlled and thoughtful manner. We place a high value on treating guests with a welcoming and warm attitude, in-depth menu and beverage knowledge, and working as a team with all positions and departments in the restaurant. While we value skill and professionalism, we also want to create a fun and enjoyable experience for both guests and staff.
Responsibilities include:
-Setting up and breakdown of the Dining Room, and Outdoor seating during warm weather
-Provide comprehensive guidance of guests through the menu, manage a section of tables through all steps of service
-Complete sidework to keep the restaurant and workspace clean and prepared for service
-Provide wine service
-Assist with running food, bussing, running and pouring drinks
Requirements:
-2 to 4 years serving experience in high volume and full-service restaurants
-Availability for 3 to 5 shifts per week, weekend night availability
-Ability to memorize a comprehensive menu and beverage guide, and to utilize menu knowledge to guide guests through the meal
-Manage a multiple table section through all steps of service while adhering to turn times
-Welcoming and professional hospitality attitude, professional attitude about customer service
-Wine and beverage knowledge including classic cocktails
