Job Title: Server
Reports to: Shift Supervisor, Service Manager

Server Role Overview

Servers at NEXUS Club New York play a vital role in shaping the member experience. As the primary point of contact during dining, Servers are expected to deliver warm, personalized, and discreet service that reflects the club’s culture of excellence. This role requires a genuine passion for hospitality, a refined sense of service, and the ability to anticipate member preferences and needs before they are expressed.

Servers are ambassadors of the NEXUS brand, consistently demonstrating professionalism, attentiveness, and care. Success in this role depends on building lasting relationships with members, maintaining a deep knowledge of menus and offerings, and ensuring that every detail contributes to an exceptional and memorable experience.

Service Execution

As a Server, your focus is to provide seamless, intuitive service that feels both elevated and effortless. You will ensure each dining experience reflects the club’s high standards - attentive but never intrusive, polished yet personable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver gracious, professional service in alignment with NEXUS Club standards.

  • Anticipate member needs and personalize service based on established preferences.

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of food, beverage, and wine offerings to make informed recommendations.

  • Coordinate closely with kitchen, bar, and concierge teams to ensure timely and accurate service.

  • Maintain an organized and pristine dining environment at all times.

  • Demonstrate discretion, respect, and confidentiality in all member interactions.

Additional Duties

  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all service areas.

  • Uphold NEXUS Club’s Values and Mission Statement while performing all duties.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.

  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with club standards.

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate member and club needs.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Minimum 1 year of hospitality service experience; private club or fine dining experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service standards.

  • A polished communication style and a genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable member experiences.
