Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The Service Manager will support the Assistant General Manager in managing staff, ensuring top-tier guest experiences, and maintaining efficient and profitable operations. This role requires a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills, hospitality instincts, and a deep understanding of restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
Assist in managing all front-of-house (FOH) operations and collaborate closely with the back-of-house (BOH) team
Ensure smooth and efficient daily service, from opening to closing
Monitor and uphold all service, cleanliness, and safety standards
Troubleshoot and resolve service or guest-related issues in real-time
Team Leadership
Help recruit, hire, train, and coach FOH team members
Lead by example, maintaining a positive, professional work environment
Support staff scheduling, performance management, and disciplinary actions
Motivate the team to deliver exceptional hospitality and meet service goals
Guest Experience
Monitor dining room flow and guest satisfaction throughout service
Handle guest concerns with grace and professionalism
Create and maintain a welcoming, hospitable atmosphere for all guests
Financial & Administrative
Assist in controlling labor and operational costs while maximizing revenue
Help manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
Review daily sales and labor reports; assist in budgeting and forecasting
Ensure compliance with all licensing, sanitation, and safety regulations
Leadership Support
Serve as acting manager when the General Manager is off-site
Lead pre-shift meetings and ensure team communication is consistent and clear
Participate in weekly leadership meetings and provide feedback and ideas for improvement
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a restaurant management or supervisory role
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Knowledge of restaurant operations, cost control, and POS systems
High standards for hospitality, service, and cleanliness
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with grace under pressure
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certification (as required by local law)
