Shipping & Receiving Technician at System One

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Technician Location: Pittsburgh, PA Type: Contract Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 6:00 am 2:30 pm M-F Job Description: Handle all aspects of shipping, receiving, and inventory control in a warehouse environment. Prepare, load, and ship materials according to schedules and documentation requirements. Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for material movement. Manage warehouse space efficiently and brace export loads for shipment. Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments and receipts. Support quarterly and annual physical inventory counts. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards. Keep work areas clean and organized in alignment with RC-HESS (Responsible Care – Health, Environment, Safety & Security) guidelines. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Prior warehouse or shipping/receiving experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment. Forklift certification or proven experience operating forklifts/tow motors. Knowledge of hazardous materials handling, DOT/IATA shipping regulations, and OSHA safety practices. Strong organization, planning, and multitasking skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office; SAP experience a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
