Site Safety Manager
Position Overview
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing safety and compliance on construction sites. This role involves developing safety plans, conducting training, and ensuring adherence to all safety regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site safety protocols and procedures in compliance with NEC and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and practices.
- Provide training and support for site personnel on safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to incorporate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Investigate and document safety incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken and reported appropriately.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in site safety management.
- Facilitate Train-the-Trainer sessions to enhance safety training capacity on site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA regulations.
- Experience with safety management software such as HCSS, Heavyjob etc.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a huge plus.
- Certification in Safety Management or related fields is desirable.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and train personnel.
- Knowledge of excavation, trenching, and heavy civil construction practices.
- Water/Wastewater Piping construction experience is a plus.
- Active/current train-the-trainer construction cert also highly desired.
