About the Role:
Join the Terry Peak Ski Area team as a Ski Lift Mechanic / Electrician and help keep our lifts running safely and smoothly year-round. You’ll work in a hands-on, outdoor role maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ski lift systems that are vital to our mountain operations. This is a full-time, year-round position offering steady work, training opportunities, and a great mountain lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all ski lift equipment and systems.
• Perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and operational testing.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including motors, controls, and drive systems.
• Maintain accurate records and lift logs for inspections and repairs.
• Open and close lifts daily and ensure all safety standards are met.
• Climb lift towers and work at heights in all weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to identify and resolve issues quickly.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in ski lift maintenance or strong background with electrical systems (VFDs, PLCs, controls).
• Comfortable working outdoors in variable mountain weather.
• Able to lift 50–100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to safely operate snowmobiles or ATVs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented with great communication and documentation habits.
