Advertised Job Summary:The University of South Carolina College of Nursing invites applications for a SmartState Endowed Chair position. We seek a distinguished nurse scientist with a robust research portfolio in clinical effectiveness/chronic care management. Experience using AI technology in clinical effectiveness/chronic care management is highly desirable.. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and expand the Center for Advancing Chronic Care Outcomes through Research and Innovation (ACORN), contributing to our mission of advancing chronic care science through pioneering research and applied innovation.
Position Highlights: The successful candidate will receive endowment support, a competitive start-up package, and access to USC’s vibrant interprofessional research community, including the College of Nursing’s other two dynamic research centers:
- Perinatal, Pediatrics, and Family Research Center (PPFRC)
- Cancer Survivorship Research Center
Additionally, the newly approved USC Collaborative for Health Equity and Disparities will be administered within the College of Nursing, further enhancing opportunities for impactful research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustain a robust research program in clinical effectiveness/chronic care management.
- Secure federal funding (R01 or equivalent) to propel research initiatives.
- Lead interdisciplinary research collaborations within USC and with external partners.
- Mentor faculty and attract top students to advance the College’s research profile.
- Pursue external funding from varied sources.
- Elevate the College’s reputation through impactful research and academic leadership.
