Job Description
A nonprofit community services organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Licensed Master Social Worker for a promising opportunity with their Family & Children Shelter program.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire potential)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays
- Hours: Flexible, shifts vary from 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm.
- Setting: 5 Days (onsite)
- Patient Population: Families with Children
- EMR: Electronic State System Connections
Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical guidance and training to staff
- Completes assessments and screenings
- Conducts case conferences and resolves issues
- Constructs service plans and documentation
- Collaborates with ACS on child welfare cases
- Provides psychoeducation to families; meets quarterly
- Conducts self-audits of records
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Social Services experience
- Working knowledge of issues related to or experience working with families, homelessness, HIV, substance abuse, mental illness, entitlements and domestic violence
