Job Duties:
- Design simple, elegant solutions to complex problems
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented software
- Collaborate with peers to make decisions on features, design, technology, and architecture
- Work in parts of the technology stack that might be new or unfamiliar
- Give technical feedback to other developers regarding design and code
- Contribute to technical documentation about the product
- Talk to customers and sales people about business problems and solutions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience delivering quality code
- Excellent organizational skills
- Passion for personal growth and continuing education
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, even in stressful situations
- Clear communication, both orally and in writing, to effectively engage both team members and others across different teams and roles
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Experience in any of the following Technologies / Principles a plus:
- Functional Programming
- JVM Languages: Clojure, Java
- Front End Technologies: React w/ TypeScript
- Mobile Development: React Native, Java/Kotlin (Android), Swift/Objective C (iOS)
- Windows Development: UWP, C#
- Databases: PostgreSQL, HSQLDB
- Advanced software design concepts: Asynchronous design, caching and memoization, concurrency and parallelism, performance testing and optimization
- Delivery and deployment of code: Git, CI, Docker, AWS
