*SOLAR INSTALLATION LEAD**Job Type:*Full-time*About the Position:*The Solar Installation Lead is responsible for leading our installation team on Residential Photovoltaic (PV) construction sites. The Lead is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating all the workings at a job site including a crew of electricians, apprentices, and laborers. The Lead will ensure that all work installed is completed in accordance with the standards set forth by the Company, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.The role requires an individual who shares our company values, who is passionate about delivering exceptional quality of work and is excited to help us tackle challenges to succeed in our business.Our solar install teams (3-4 people) install mostly residential & small commercial grid-tied solar throughout the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier.Here at 3rd ROC Solar LLC we offer a great work environment focused on growth of the individual, building a quality product, with customer satisfaction as a top priority.Great candidates will be problem solvers, have a self-starter mentality, practice confidentiality, good time management skills, and can pay attention to detail!*General Requirements:** Ability to lift 50 pounds* Comfort working on ladders and on roof top surfaces* Work in teaming arrangements* Comfortable with ride sharing* Travel required*General Job Responsibilities:** Plan and carry out electrical construction tasks in a team environment, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel* Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors* Conduct quality control inspections on project sites* Be able to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and take appropriate steps to correct the problem* Organize and coordinate all of the project materials and equipment* Regularly report project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials* Lead by example—set, monitor, and enforce the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work set forth by the Company* Analyze and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner* Work flexible hours based on changing conditions* Bring a positive attitude and willingness to create a better future for yourself, your neighbors, and your community* Find joy in the work that we do*Qualification requirements:** High School Diploma, Equivalent, or Vocational training in a closely related field* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a commercial solar construction setting* Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record*Preferred Skills:** PV Installation experience* Mechanically inclined* Journeyman or Master Electrician*Applying:*3rd ROC Solar LLC is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
