Sustainable Living Builders is looking for a reliable and motivated Solar Installer to join our expanding team. As a Solar Installer, you will be instrumental in bringing clean, renewable energy solutions to our clients homes and businesses. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Work safely and efficiently on rooftops and other elevated structures using proper fall protection and PPE.
- Support licensed electricians during system wiring and electrical connections.
- Load, transport, and set up solar equipment and materials at job sites.
- Follow site plans and schematics to ensure accurate placement and system layout.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Uphold all safety and quality standards while adhering to local building codes.
- Approximately 2 years of experience in solar installation or a similar hands-on construction role.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and solar panel technology.
- Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, and lift 6080 lbs as needed.
- Clean driving record and valid drivers license.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Preference given to applicants residing near Sonoma or surrounding areas.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
- Comfortable with frequent standing, climbing, and working at heights.
- Tolerance for outdoor work in sun, wind, or cold.
