Named one of Eater & Esquire's 2024 Best New Restaurants in America, Budonoki is an Izakaya/Japanese restaurant concept created by seasoned industry veterans with diverse experience and top-of-the-line pedigree looking for a talented Sous Chef for our expanding team. Ideal candidate should have a passion for Japanese food & beverage with an izakaya-inspired approach.

We are searching for a SOUS CHEF to join our team! Candidates must possess the following:

  • Fully understand and embody a can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you.
  • 2 years cook experience in a similar high-volume environment
  • Committed to safety, sanitation and good environmental practices in the workplace
  • Flexible hours are required (prep shifts, nights, weekends, holidays) or as agreed with your hiring manager
  • Uphold standards & systems with daily food preparation.
  • Executing consistently with all food prep activities before, during and after service. 
  • Completing kitchen tasks, including opening & closing duties, prep-list execution, station set-up and maintenance and cleaning
